The deeper wide-spread understanding of the "good news" of God's Kingdom has been reserved for our time (Matthew 24:14). With God's people obtaining a greater and true understanding of God's Kingdom (Heaven manifested on earth through the Holy Spirit within us), a great outpouring of the Holy Spirit (Joel 2:29, Acts 2:18) will be triggered throughout the whole world... Praise God!
Jesus restored access to God's kingdom to mankind (Matthew 18:11) and explained that the preaching of the kingdom was a purpose He was sent (Luke 4:43). Jesus carried God's kingdom within Him (Isaiah 9:6), and revealed that His kingdom is spiritual and that we will also have His kingdom manifested within us as well (Luke 17:21) through the Holy Spirit (Romans 14:17), whom we receive through faith in Christ. His kingdom is in power (1 Corinthians 4:20) and we receive this power when the Holy Spirit enters us (Acts 1:8). Indeed, God's kingdom is something we receive now in this life on earth (Daniel 7:18), when we are born into it (John 3:3), giving us citizenship in it (Ephesians 2:19, Philippians 3:20). When we are spiritually uprooted from Satan's spiritual kingdom and transplanted into God's spiritual kingdom, and live accordingly abiding in Jesus (John 15:5) and the fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22, Ephesians 5:9), which is the very atmosphere of God's kingdom of Heaven, then we walk in the Light, we walk in the Spirit (Ephesians 5:8, 1 John 1:7, Romans 8:1, Galatians 5:16,25). When we are rooted in God's kingdom and completely separated from Satan's kingdom of darkness and of the world and of the flesh, then we have nothing in common with the enemy and the enemy has no claim on us; instead we have power and authority over the enemy through God (1 John 4:4, 1 John 5:5, Luke 10:19, John 14:30 AMP). We will now abide in the will of God (Matthew 7:21, 1 John 2:16-17), and we become Ambassadors for Christ (2 Corinthians 5:20) and kings and priests of God's Kingdom (Revelation 1:6, Revelation 5:10).
For He has rescued us and has drawn us to Himself from the dominion of darkness, and has transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son, in whom we have redemption [because of His sacrifice, resulting in] the forgiveness of our sins [and the cancellation of sins’ penalty].
- Colossians 1:13-14 Amplified Bible (AMP)
When Jesus was baptized in the Jordan River by John the Baptist and the Holy Spirit descended upon Him (Matthew 3:13-16), Satan's spiritual kingdom of the world (and of darkness and of the flesh) now had God's spiritual kingdom of heaven (and of Light and of the Spirit) in its midst (Matthew 11:12, Luke 16:16).
There are currently two spiritual kingdoms in existence. God's and Satan's. Everything is rooted and derives out of one of these spiritual kingdoms. Everything, including our works (fruits), our way of thinking, our spiritual citizenship, and even who our Father is.
When we are born into the world, we are born into spiritual citizenship of Satan's kingdom of the flesh and must be born again into God's spiritual kingdom of the Spirit.
"Jesus answered him, “I assure you and most solemnly say to you, unless a person is born again [reborn from above—spiritually transformed, renewed, sanctified], he cannot [ever] see and experience the kingdom of God."
- John 3:3 Amplified Bible (AMP)
"That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is Spirit. Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’"
- John 3:6-7 New King James Version (NKJV)
Until we are born again, we have Satan as our father with the desires and lusts of his spiritual kingdom in our heart.
You are of your father the devil, and it is your will to practice the desires [which are characteristic] of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth because there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks what is natural to him, for he is a liar and the father of lies and half-truths.
- John 8:44 Amplified Bible (AMP)
Once we are born into God's Kingdom, we are adopted into God's family. God the Father becomes our Father and we become His adopted children.
But to as many as did receive and welcome Him, He gave the right [the authority, the privilege] to become children of God, that is, to those who believe in (adhere to, trust in, and rely on) His name — who were born, not of blood [natural conception], nor of the will of the flesh [physical impulse], nor of the will of man [that of a natural father], but of God [that is, a divine and supernatural birth—they are born of God—spiritually transformed, renewed, sanctified].
- John 1:12-13 Amplified Bible (AMP)
Once we receive the Holy Spirit through faith in Jesus (are born-again), we also change our spiritual citizenship into that of God's kingdom. Our spiritual citizenship in Satan's kingdom has been made void and passes away.
Therefore if anyone is in Christ [that is, grafted in, joined to Him by faith in Him as Savior], he is a new creature [reborn and renewed by the Holy Spirit]; the old things [the previous moral and spiritual condition] have passed away. Behold, new things have come [because spiritual awakening brings a new life].
- 2 Corinthians 5:17 Amplified Bible (AMP)
So then you are no longer strangers and aliens [outsiders without rights of citizenship], but you are fellow citizens with the saints (God’s people), and are [members] of God’s household,
- Ephesians 2:19 Amplified Bible (AMP)
For our citizenship is in Heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.
- Philippians 3:20 New King James Version (NKJV)
We enter into God's kingdom as spiritual infants and must grow into maturity. Access to everything that God offers us comes through the manifestation of His spiritual kingdom within us (through the Holy Spirit's presence within us - who we have received through our faith in Jesus).
But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness (the Holy Spirit), and all these things (everything we need now and forever) shall be added to you.
- Matthew 6:33 New King James Version (NKJV)
God's spiritual kingdom is the concentrated presence and atmosphere of the Holy Spirit.
Once we receive the Holy Spirit to live within us through our faith in Jesus, we now have God's spiritual kingdom manifested within us through the Holy Spirit as well. At this moment, we are born-again into spiritual citizenship of the kingdom of Heaven and have our old spiritual citizenship in Satan's spiritual kingdom of the world made void.
We enter into citizenship of His spiritual kingdom as spiritual infants and can grow into full maturity. In His kingdom, we have all of God's promises available to us. Everything we need and desire is at hand. This is why Jesus tells us to seek first God's kingdom and His righteousness (the Holy Spirit) and then everything we need (both now and forever) will be added to us.
We are called to walk as ambassadors for Christ (being rooted and citizens of His kingdom), so that the good works that He did, we will do also.
